The packaging we use at Nixie Jewellery is part of our commitment to sustainability. We understand that single use plastic packaging has a huge negative impact on our planet & we are committed to reducing its usage as much as possible within Nixie Jewellery. If we do use single use plastic, we ensure it’s certified as biodegradable ♻️
Most of the packaging we use is made from recycled materials, including carboard boxes and tissue paper. We’re always aiming to improve our packaging materials & researching new green alternatives to help protect the planet. Testing is always conducted prior to introducing a new packaging material; our priority will always remain the same … jewellery must arrive with our customers in nothing less than perfect condition! 📦
Instead of using plastic shipping bags, or plastic bubble wrap filled Jiffy bags, we use recycled cardboard boxes. We find these best protect our customers products, & are also the most environmentally friendly packaging. We use tissue paper which is made from recycled materials, & our branded stickers can also be recycled. Instead of plastic void fill/packing peanuts, we use dissolvable corn starch packing peanuts. These literally melt in a bowl of water or under a running tap 🚰
The card used in our boxes is all FSC approved & made from at least 90% recycled materials.
In keeping with the environmentally friendly practice of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, we are trying to reduce the amount of packaging we use overall.
