The Sleeping Beauty mine in the mountain range of Arizona was given her name due to this particular mountain range resembling a woman sleeping on her back with her arms crossed. In order to be called Sleeping Beauty it must be from this particular mine. Sleeping Beauty has very little veining & is a gorgeous turquoise blue. The mine closed in 2012 & this has caused the prices to increase drastically due to its rarity.
